Musical Theatre Programs

The Charleston Academy of Musical Theater (CAMT) believes that all children have talent waiting to be awakened. Our Musical Theatre training program is lead by national award-winning children's theatre director Courtney Sarre and international opera singer Diana Flaherty. CAMT provides a nurturing environment where students will develop their skills in acting, voice, and dance.
OUR PROGRAM
Our program involves students in several different ways from beginner to experienced, there is something for every child.
Our classes in Mount Pleasant and Downtown Charleston are great for students who want to sing, dance, and act in an after-school program atmosphere. These semester-long classes and workshops give aspiring stars the skills to perform for an audience of family and friends.
Individualized coaching can help performers strengthen their skills in singing, choreography, acting, character development, stage presence, and more. We assist with developing portfolios for college auditions or further advancement in the theatre.
Our Performance Companies are perfect for elementary or teen performers who want to be part of a Junior Production with a year-long commitment, experiencing musical theatre from the audition process to performing on stage in a downtown theatre for multiple audiences.

Our students in this program recently performed scenes from Oliver and Peter Pan for the community at the 68th Annual COK-SM Bazaar.
